Customized Bars

Dec 7, 2010 at 10:43 AM

Hello,

I am absolutely impressed about the changes of this project.

I took the recent source code and tried to get a graph with bars with both positive and negative values (BarChart in Samples doesn't show anything and ColumnChart doesn't show negative values). How can I get it work?

I also would appeciate having bars which are multicolored, colors changing at several tolerances. Should look something like HorizontalRange not for the background but for the bars.

I have no clue how to change the height of the bars so that they do not end at zero, but at a predefined average.

Hope you're able to help me manage this.

Hello,

seems like now all marker Charts are broken. You can make an attempt to go earlier in time

I'm developing now new line and marker charts, they will be ready in one month or less.

For now I can give you an advice to take a look at the latest public check-in (http://dynamicdatadisplay.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/changes/31108), at its nightly part.

Some samples do not work properly, but two essential samples do work. They are in DynamicDataDisplay.sln, in DynamicDataDisplay.Samples.csproj, in Release 0.4.0 in Markers - samples named BarChart and Acceptable ranges.

Best regards,

Mikhail.

I tried to view the samples 'BarChart' and 'Acceptable Ranges' in the solution you've linked, but I couldn't get it work.

I got several errors in the XAML files, such as <Error 8 The tag 'DevMarkerChart' does not exist in XML namespace 'http://research.microsoft.com/DynamicDataDisplay/1.0'. Line 28 Position 5. C:\Users\WerkStudent\Downloads\dynamicdatadisplay-31108_13.12.2010\Nightly\DynamicDataDisplay Sources v0.3.4703.0\DynamicDataDisplay Sources v0.3.4703.0\src\DynamicDataDisplay.Samples\Demos\v04\Markers\AcceptableRangePage.xaml 28 5 DynamicDataDisplay.Samples'.>.

In a more recent solution from here, d3future - not from dynamicdatadisplay - I was able to see the 'Acceptable Ranges' Sample, but in the 'BarGraph' Sample, there are no bars at all.

Thanks for your time and effort handling this.

Hi Mikhail,

what's about marker chart now?

BarChart seems still not working in the last version available over http://d3future.codeplex.com.

Do you probably have a better version or you completely gave up with the project?

thanks in advance!
